Macbeth Act 4 Scene 3

This scene is very long and consists of characters Malcolm, Macduff, Doctor, and Rosse. The scene starts with our opinion on Malcolm constantly changing, as he starts by saying all these bad things about Macbeth but then tells Macduff that he is not fit to be king since he has a thirst for sex constantly. He also says he is worse than Macbeth in every way possible. After Macduff says ‘O Scotland! Scotland!’, Malcolm reveals that he was lying the whole time to see where Macduff’s loyalty lies, which is with the country and not Macbeth. They become allys.

Rosse enters to tell Macduff that his whole family has been murdered at Macbeths instruction. Macduff is obviously extremely mad and sad and plans his revenge against Macbeth.
